KUALA LUMPUR: Police are looking for an artiste to help in investigations into a get-rich-quick scheme which had fooled artistes such as Amy Search, Misha Omar, Hattan, Awie and some VIPs.
The artiste, identified as Rohaniza Aladib, 31, has gone missing since July.
Federal police Public Relations Department head Superintendent Rasdi Ramli said 19 police reports had been lodged against her in several states over losses up to RM6 million. The scheme promised huge returns with investments in an international cigarette company.
Rasdi said she had allegedly used Erza Corporation as a front for her scheme.
Her last known address was 12, Jalan RTU, 33/17A, Da-mansara Indah Resort Home, Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya.
Those with information of Rohaniza’s whereabouts can contact the Commercial Crime Department or Senior Assistant Commissioner II Mohd Hazam Abdul Halat at 03-26163747.
Amy Search allegedly lost more than RM1 million and Hattan claimed he lost more than RM50,000.
Misha Omar and Awie also said they were duped into participating in the scheme but they didn’t reveal the extent of their losses.
