Mansor, who polled 6,052 votes, won by a majority of 5,558 votes.
He beat the three independent candidates, Aminah Abdullah, 56, Nai Khan Ari a/l Nai Keow, 41, and Kamarul Ramizu Idris, 42. Aminah polled 392 votes, Nai Khan Ari 494 votes and Kamarul Ramizu 56 votes.
The results were announced by Returing Officer Roslan Yahaya at 7.10pm at the Dewan Perdana of the National Youth Skills Institute in Jalan Berapit.
The by-election was called after its assemblyman Mohammad Fairus Khairuddin of PKR, who was also Penang Deputy Chief Minister I, resigned on April 16.
