KOTA KINABALU: More foreign students are coming to study in Sabah.
There were 158 international students in the 21 private institutions of higher learning in December last year, compared with 145 in June of the same year.
Deputy Higher Education Minister Dr Hou Kok Chung said the increase was a blessing, especially in the current global economic climate.
Private schools had also recorded an increase in local students from 7,482 to 8,619 during the same period.
He also said the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) Infocentre that was set up in October last year has received 650 visitors and enquiries since it began operations.
