Bumiputera kelas 1 -Yang dipertuan Agong,Sultan-Sultan negeri

Bumiputera kelas 2 -Melayu Islam Elit kerabat diraja

Bumiputera kelas 3- Melayu Islam Elit/Kaya (Rakyat Jelata) & MUFTI

(Muncul akibat pengenalan Dasar Ekonomi Baru dan kronisma,Mempunyai ‘attitude winner takes all. Membolot lesen F PKK sehingga di bekukan)

Mufti – Mempunyai kuasa menindas non-malay/muslim melalui fartwa.

Bumiputera kelas 4- Melayu Islam Sederhana / Miskin

Bumiputera kasta 6- Bumiputera lain-lain (Kadazan,Dayak,Murut)

Bumiputera kasta 7- Sino -Native Perempuan

Bumiputera kasta 8-Sino Native Lelaki

Mencuri bahagian kek Bumiputera 6.

Bumiputera kasta 6= Cara mudah, masuk Islam dan parti melayu radikal.Cara lain akan ditolak.

Bumiputera kasta 7= Cara mudah, kawin dengan full bumiputera.

Bumiputera kasta 8= Cara mudah, masuk Islam dan membuang ‘nama cina mereka’, atau kerajaan mengembalikan sijil anak negeri.

Anti Kronisma

Sarawak CM’s wife Laila dies at 68

Datuk Amar Laila Taib, wife of Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, died at her residence at Demak Jaya, Jalan Bako here at 3.40pm yesterday. She was 68.

Family sources said Laila, Sarawak’s First Lady who was born in Poland, had battled cancer for the past few months.

Laila and Taib celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a hotel here three months ago.

At that occasion, Taib paid a glowing tribute to Laila as his pillar of strength and source of inspiration.

He said Laila had stood by him through thick and thin throughout his career as a politician.

Laila and Taib have four children including Deputy Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Sulaiman Abdul Rahman Taib. The others are Datuk Mahmud Bekir Taib, Jamilah Hamidah Taib and Hanifah Hajar Taib.

Laila will be laid to rest at Demak Jaya burial ground at 11.30am today, said Deputy State Secretary Datuk Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani in a statement.

He said those who wished to pay their last respects should do so before 11am.

Sarawak Governor Tun Abang Muhammed Salahuddin, visiting Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and state cabinet ministers were among the first to pay their last respects last evening.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is also expected to attend Laila’s funeral.

Laila was actively involved in charitable, social, community and religious work through numerous non-governmental organisations (NGOs).

As founder and president of Sabati (Wives of the Sarawak Ministers and Assistant Ministers), she was instrumental in setting up the Sarawak Heart Foundation.

The foundation, of which she had been president since its formation, has raised millions of ringgit and sponsored many needy heart patients for surgeries and treatment in the country and abroad over the years.

Laila also helped to set up an orphanage home named after her in Petra Jaya here.

Laila was head of Perkim (the Muslim Welfare Organisation of Malaysia) women’s wing since 1980.

She also headed Regional Islamic Da’wah Council of Sourtheast Asia and the Pacific (Riseap) since 1983.

She was patron of the Malaysian Red Crescent Society Kuching Chapter, Persatuan Anak-Anak Yatim Sarawak, Sibu Kidney Foundation, Kuching Lions Nursing Home and Sarawak Single Mothers’ Association and Trustee of the Malaysian Humanitarian Foundation

MANOHARA ODELIA PINOT-NOACK

This article is reproduced from Jakarta Social Blog and The Mighty Pen thus is edited by me for use in accordance to the rules of this website.

28/04/2009: The day after tomorrow will mark a year after Jakarta Social Blog first posted an entry about Manohara Odelia Pinot-Noack, daughter of Daisy Fajarina and George, a man with United States citizenship, and younger sister of Dewi Pinot. Yet in less than a year many outrageous things had happened to her. In April last year, only a few photographs and articles of the then sixteen year old damsel, who bears her stepfather’s surname (her mother later married Reiner Pinot-Noack, a French citizen) appeared on the glossy pages of Prestige and Indonesia Tatler, displaying nothing more than her name, age, and previous boyfriend (Mr. You-Know-Who). Never before there were so many photographs and videos of Manohara Odelia Pinot shown to the public by numerous television channels, in their entertainment and news programs, pictures and stories of her life leaked and publicized by newspapers and tabloid journalists. Her popularity was then limited to those who read prestigious high-society magazines and attend glamorous social events where only the rich and famous could mingle, and one can add, those who’ve seen the ads of Le Salon at Plaza Indonesia.

n731560273_4748858_7250Manohara with Raditya Argoebie, a close friend of her family

What a difference a year could make? She broke up with her ex-boyfriend, hastily married Muhammad Fakhry, with jubilant approval from her mother, and was bestowed by the Kelantan royalty as Cik Puan Temenggong (CPM). This might sound too good to be true, just like bedtime fairy-tale stories about a charming little girl married to a prince of so-so-land and live happily ever after without any further distraction.

But life is not a fairy-tale, few months after their seemingly perfect wedding; Manohara escaped to Jakarta, Indonesia, with the help of her mother, Daisy Fajarina. About four months later, from 25th February to 9th March, Manohara, Fakhry, Daisy, and Dewi made a pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, which ended on a sour note. Daisy said the royalty had abducted her daughter away in Saudi Arabia, by Kelantan Royal Family’s Berjaya Air’s Challenger 300, headed by a Malaysian Captain, Zakaria Salleh, transporting only Fakhry and his wife by force and leaving Daisy and Dewi behind. When Daisy tried to enter Malaysia to track down her daughter, she claimed that she was denied entry into Malaysia at the request of the Kelantan royalty.

untitled567Sisters Dewi and Manohara Pinot partied alongside close friends

Now that she’s back to ‘live’ in Kelantan palace, like a little bird in a golden cage, her mother in Jakarta devoured efforts at all lengths to be allowed to meet her own daughter. Daisy uttered profuse and audacious details of Manohara’s conjugal circumstances to a bevy of local journalists. She also stated that her daughter had been sexually abused by the coarse-mannered prince, from being forced to carry out sexual intercourse during her menstruation period to having her chest slit by razor blade.

If such allegations were true, could it be that Fakhry of Kelantan is indeed a sadomasochist? Some things are too painful to hear. But why does recent photographs of Manohara that leaked into some blogs show her unharmed in the least and unreservedly composed while enjoying both formal and informal activities with her husband and in-laws. Had she been feeling miserable, she would look not the least bit content in the latest photographs, for surely she knew that’s the most fitting moment to express the necessity for her to be rescued by Daisy and Dewi. (The Mighty Pen website differs here from the writer(s) of this blog. There is no way one can express fear in the open, especially when conducting royal duties, however unceremonial the duties are. Please also note that most photographs released so far are not indicative of ‘high’ state of happiness compared to her older photos that are also circulating on the cyber sphere. If newer sets of photos appear after the posting of this article, then readers can judge for themselves at the level of cheap play engaged by Fakhry. It does not in any way mean if the new sets of photos do not appear, Fakhry is rightfully correct!).

n589385144_5304979_9036Daisy, Ryan (Manohara’s close friend and a racer) Manohara, during her short-term escape

But Nikolai Gogol once wrote somewhere, “the real comic muse is the one under whose laughing mask tears roll down,” Who are we to comprehend the truth of such enigmatic vexation. But one can always reverse the saying above, “the real comic muse is the one under whose doleful mask laughs furtively.” Then who’s righteous and who’s rancorous? (The Mighty Pen has not edited this paragraph for lack of understanding of the writer(s) intent, and left it as it is. The Mighty Pen has also removed the concluding paragraph of this article as it contradicts our original intent. The writer(s) have asked for no interference from all sides for the ending of this unfolding drama. We congratulate the writer(s) for such an expressive piece).

ICE COLLAPSES OFF ANTARCTICA!

Antarctic ice shelf breaking up; Area the size of New York City becomes icebergs

1234e432TROMSOE (Norway) 28/04/2009 – AN AREA of an Antarctic ice shelf almost the size of New York City has broken into icebergs this month after the collapse of an ice bridge widely blamed on global warming, a scientist said on Tuesday. ‘The northern ice front of the Wilkins Ice Shelf has become unstable and the first icebergs have been released,’ Angelika Humbert, glaciologist at the University of Muenster in Germany, said of European Space Agency satellite images of the shelf.

She told Reuters about 700 sq km of ice – bigger than Singapore or Bahrain and almost the size of New York City – has broken off the Wilkins this month and shattered into a mass of icebergs. She said 370 sq kms of ice had cracked up in recent days from the Shelf, the latest of about 10 shelves on the Antarctic Peninsula to retreat in a trend linked by the UN Climate Panel to global warming. The new icebergs added to 330 sq kms of ice that broke up earlier this month with the shattering of an ice bridge apparently pinning the Wilkins in place between Charcot island and the Antarctic Peninsula. Nine other shelves – ice floating on the sea and linked to the coast – have receded or collapsed around the Antarctic peninsula in the past 50 years, often abruptly like the Larsen A in 1995 or the Larsen B in 2002.

untitle67tThe trend is widely blamed on climate change caused by heat-trapping gases from burning fossil fuels, according to David Vaughan, a British Antarctic Survey scientist who landed by plane on the Wilkins ice bridge with two Reuters reporters in January. Ms Humbert said by telephone her estimates were that the Wilkins could lose a total of 800 to 3,000 sq kms of area after the ice bridge shattered.

The Wilkins shelf has already shrunk by about a third from its original 16,000 sq kms when first spotted decades ago, its ice so thick would take at least hundreds of years to form. Temperatures on the Antarctic Peninsula have warmed by up to 3 Celsius this century, Vaughan said, a trend climate scientists blame on global warming from burning fossil fuels in cars, factories and power plants.

The loss of ice shelves does not raise sea levels significantly because the ice is floating and already mostly submerged by the ocean. But the big worry is that their loss will allow ice sheets on land to move faster, adding extra water to the seas.

Wilkins has almost no pent-up glaciers behind it, but ice shelves further south hold back vast volumes of ice. The Arctic Council, grouping nations with territory in the Arctic, is due to meet in Tromsoe, north Norway, on Wednesday to debate the impact of melting ice in the north. — REUTERS

Iranian President vs Malaysian Ministers

The FoxNewsTV (USA) asked the Iranian President Ahmedinejad,’When you look into the mirror in the morning what do you say to yourself’? He answered: I see the person in the mirror and tell him ‘Remember’ you are no more than a small servant, ahead of you today is the heavy responsibility, and that is to serve the Iranian nation’.
Ahmedinejad, the Iranian President who astonished many when he first reached to the office of the Presidency by donating all the high valued Iranian carpets to one of the mosques in Tehran by replacing them with the low cost ordinary carpets. He observed that there was a huge extravagant lounge for receiving and welcoming the VIPs and he ordered it to be closed and asked the protocol office to arrange for an ordinary room only with wooden chairs.
On many instances he joins the cleaning staff of the municipality for cleaning the streets in the area where his home and the Presidency are located.Under his authority whenever he appoints any minister to his post he gets a signed document from him with many points particularly highlighting that he shall remain poor and that his personal and his relatives accounts will be watched and the day he leaves the ministry shall be with dignity, and therefore it is not lawful for him or his relatives to take any advantage of his office.
First of all he declared himself for all the ‘Big’ wealth and the property he owned was a Peugeot 504 car, model 1977, an old small house inherited from his father 40-years ago in one of the poorest zones in Tehran . His accounts with a zero balance and the only money comes in to his a/c was from his salary from the university as a lecturer with an amount of US$ 250 only. For your info rmation the President still lives in that same house.
This is all what he owns; the president of one of the world’s important countries; strategically, economically, politically and with regard to its oil and defense. He even doesn’t take his personal salary with the argument that all the wealth belongs to the nation and he is the safeguard over it.
One of the things that impressed the staff at the presidency is the bag the President brings with him every day, which contains his breakfast; some sandwiches or bread with olive oil and cheese prepared by his wife and eats and enjoys it with all happiness. One of the other things he changed was his personal carrier ‘the President’s Aircraft’ to a cargo aircraft in order to save the spending from the public treasury and he ordered that he will be flying with the ordinary airline in the economy class.. He organizes meetings every now and then with all the ministers to know their activities and efficiency and he closed down the office of the Manager of the president and any minister can enter to his office without any permission.
He also stopped the welcome ceremonies like the red carpet, the photo session or any personal advertisement or respect of any kind while visiting any place in the country. Whenever he has to stay in any of the hotels he asks them to make sure not to give him a room with any big bed because he doesn’t like to sleep on beds but rather likes to sleep on the floor on a simple mattress with a blanket.. Refer to some of the photographs which also confirm the above.
The Iranian president is sleeping in the guest room of his house after getting away from his special guards who follow him wherever he goes and photo is taken by his small brother according to the Wifaq Newspaper which published this photo and the next day the photo was published in most of the world’s newspapers and magazines and particularly the Americans.
During the prayer you can see that he is not sitting in the first row. And the final photo is of his dining room where the president is busy eating his simple meal.
ADMIN Note:
Just compare President Dr. Ahmedinejad with the Rich & Famous Lifestyle of Umno leaders such as Khir Toyo. Just fancy imagining our PM curled up in such a humble manner minus his favorite Iced Milo. He might just do it for a cheap publicity 1 Malaysia stunt unlike President Dr. Ahmedinejad who is truly a MAKKAL SAKTI kind of leader!

APA PERANAN MUFTI SEBENARNYA NI?

“Just because he (Harusani Zakaria) is a Mufti doesn’t mean he is right. What is needed here is discernment to see whether the Mufti is speaking under Allah’s authority or his own”.

Permohonan MB Haram Perak ditolak mahkamah

Siringan supports Chin’s statement

p179-ranauKota Kinabalu: Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Deputy President Datuk Chin Shu Phin Monday won support from a fellow leader of another Barisan Nasional (BN) Sabah component who hoped the top leadership will take the matter he had raised seriously.

Ranau Member of Parliament Datuk Siringan Gubat, one of the Vice Presidents of United Pasokmomogun Kadazandusun Murut Organisation (Upko), said he believed Chin was not trying to become a hero as alleged by certain State leaders when he made his controversial statement.

“I believe those people who are doing that are really or truly concerned over the BN integrityÉand BN Sabah should not ignore it because it is very important,” he said, referring to Chin’s statement and his party Supreme Council’s subsequent stand on the matter.

“But I am not trying to suggest to Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman to sack him (Tan) but we raymond-tanshould leave it to his wisdom to take the most apt action for the sake of the BN’s integrity,” said Siringan.

He also believed dissatisfaction over Tan’s current position is not only shared among leaders of the other BN component parties because he recalled fellow Sabah MP for Kalabakan Datuk Abdul Ghapur Salleh, who is also an Umno Sabah senior leader, had raised dissatisfaction over Tan during his debate speech in Parliament.

“I recalled that Datuk Ghapur had raised his dissatisfaction over Tan, who he (Ghapur) said should not remain where he is presentlyÉI was there and was listening attentively to him saying it, and it does prove that even among Umno Sabah leaders themselves there is dissatisfaction,” said Siringan.

He said the State leaders should also give thought to the main reason SAPP withdrew from the coalition last year.

Unity message in Harvest Fest: Pairin

kdcastartPenampang: The Kaamatan Festival celebration will continue to be celebrated in a meaningful context, particularly the promotion of understanding and spirit of working together as well as creating a conducive atmosphere for unity, said Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Joseph Pairin Kitingan.

Pairin, who is also the celebration’s main organising chairman, said this was emphasised in this year’s celebration theme “Together We Mould A Better Future”.

Speaking at the handing over of contributions from the celebration’s main sponsor, Nestle (Malaysia) Berhad, at the Hongkod Koisaan here, Monday, Pairin, who is President of the Kadazan Dusun Cultural Association (KDCA), said there was a underlying and forceful message in this year’s theme.

Towards this end, he said support from everybody is needed, including from the corporate world, such as Nestle (Malaysia) Berhad in the context of its Corporate Responsibility. “Let’s hope we will continue to march forward and provide something better for the future generation to inherit,” said the Huguan Siou.

He also commended Nestle for its continuous support to the Tadau Kaamatan as the company had for the past six years come out with a series of consumer and trade promotions in conjunction with the festival.

This year, the sponsorships, promotions and contests are courtesy of Nescafe, Maggi and Cap Junjung, said Nestle Products Sdn Bhd Sabah Branch Manager, Fung Tze Shing.

For Nescafe, it would be co-sponsoring the Unduk Ngadau and Sugandoi organised by the State Government and KDCA, offering prizes at the district level and State level competition on May 30 and 31.

Apart from that, the Nescafe is also organising a consumer contest and an outlet display contest in Sabah and Labuan beginning from May 6 to June 30 offering eight Modenas Kriss 100 motorcycles, inclusive of registration fee for the first year, insurance and tax as prizes.

One unit would be given away every week, for eight consecutive weeks. Maggi would also be running a consumer contest that would end on June 30 offering a Mitsubishi Triton Lite as the grand prize and a total of RM37,000 cash will be up for grabs.

The third participating brand, Cap Junjung, is running its consumer contest from April 30 to June 30 offering cash prizes totaling RM20,000.

“As a socially responsible corporation, Nestle does not only reward its customers for their loyalty but also plays its role in contributing back to society in different ways,” said Fung.

Also on hand were KDCA deputy presidents Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan, Datuk Dr Othman Menudin and Datuk Clarence Bongkos Malakun, and management representatives from the sponsoring brand.

How does it spread?

Swine flu viruses do not typically infect humans though they do occur through close proximity or contact with infected pigs or contaminated areas. Cases of human-to-human spread have been documented.

What are the symptoms?

The symptoms are similar to those of regular flu:
– Fever
– Lethargy
– Runny nose
– Cough
– Sore throat
– Lack of appetite
– Vomiting and diarrhoea in some cases.

How common is swine flu infection in humans?

In the past reports of about one human swine flu virus infection had been received every one to two years in the United States. From December 2005 till February 2009, 12 cases have been reported.

Has this strain of flu been seen before?

No. Flu mutates constantly, so it is common for new strains to emerge. Pigs can also be infected with both human and avian influenza, and the current circulating swine flu strain appears to contain genetic elements from all three.

Can swine flu be treated with antiviral drugs and flu vaccine?

The swine flu is resistant to two common drugs – Amantadine and Rimantadine. The H1N1 swine flu viruses are very different from human H1N1 viruses. Therefore, vaccines for human seasonal flu would not provide protection. However, a “seed vaccine” has been specifically tailored to this swine flu and will be manufactured if officials deem it necessary.

Can people catch swine flu by eating pork?

No. Swine influenza viruses are not transmitted by food. Eating properly handled and cooked pork and pork products is safe. Cooking pork to an internal temperature of 70ºC and above kills the swine flu virus.

How long is someone with swine flu considered contagious?

People with swine influenza virus infection should be considered potentially contagious as long as they are symptomatic; possibly for up to seven days following the onset of the illness. Children, especially younger children, might potentially be contagious for longer periods.

What can I do to protect myself from the swine flu?

There is no vaccine available right now to protect against the swine flu.

However, you can help prevent the spread of germs that cause respiratory illnesses like influenza by:

– Covering your nose and mouth with a disposable tissue or handkerchief when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the waste basket after you use it.

– Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also helpful

– Try to avoid close contact with sick people. – If you get sick with influenza, stay at home and limit contact with others to keep from infecting them.

– Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.

– Consult your nearest healthcare facility if you think you have any of the symptoms.

Which countries have had cases of the swine flu?

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has confirmed human cases of swine flu in Mexico, the United States, Canada and Spain. Only Mexico has reported deaths from the new strain.

Are there any travel restrictions or advisories for Malaysians?

The Health Ministry on April 27 advised Malaysians against travelling to certain places in the United States, Mexico and Canada which have been affected by the swine flu.

What precautions are in place in Malaysia?

– The Health Ministry’s operations room in Putrajaya has started a 24-hour monitoring of the situation. The public can call 03-8881 0200/300 for enquiries.

– Those returning from Latin American countries and found to have flu-like symptoms will be quarantined.

– Health Ministry officials are conducting health screenings on passengers arriving from the United States.

– Thermal scanners will be placed at international airports to speed up the screening process for swine flu.

– Public and private medical practitioners have been instructed to report to the district health office any patient with influenza-like illnesses or severe pneumonia symptoms and who had travelled to the affected countries after April 17.

– Owners of the 797 pig farms nationwide have been ordered to immediately contact the nearest Veterinary Services Department office or the Animal Disease Control Centre if their workers or animals show symptoms linked to the swine flu.

Wrath of a man let down over a loan

angry-woman-phone1A woman received hundreds of calls asking for sex after her personal details were posted in a pornographic website by a disgruntled man whose request for a loan from her brother was denied.

Harian Metro quoted a source as saying that the woman had apparently influenced her brother not to give the man the loan. Two weeks later, the 36-year-old woman, who is a clerk, started getting unsolicited calls and SMSes from strange men nationwide asking for sexual favours.

Bewildered and fed up, she then found out that the callers got her number from a sex website.

She suspected the man, who had earlier got into a quarrel with her for convincing her brother not to give him money.

The woman then lodged a police report.

PRIEST AND WIFE HACKED TO DEATH!

iphoto_1240814370996-1-0jpgJAKARTA – An elderly Christian priest and his wife were hacked to death with machetes in Indonesia, police said on Monday. Frans Koagow, 64, and his wife, Femy Kumendong, 73, were found in the priest’s home in Manado city, North Sulawesi province, on Saturday with deep slash wounds to their heads and necks, provincial police spokesman Benny Bella said.

‘The priest was cut from behind in the neck while his wife was cut in the head while she lay down sick with a stroke,’ Mr Bella said. ‘The priest had been squatting down to tie his shoes when he was attacked… there was no time for him to fight back.’

Mr Bella said police were looking for suspects but were unsure how many people were involved in the attack. ‘We found a machete but we don’t know if it was one that was used in the murder,’ he said.

MALAYSIAN UNDERAGE GIRLS HAVING SEX TO TAKE REVENGE ON PARENTS!

teenrape

Statistics compiled since 2005 showed that the number of girls below 16 years old who are sexually active has been increasing every year. The study also revealed that an alarming 60 per cent of girls between the ages of 13 and 15 had sex because they ‘wanted revenge’ on their parents. Sex with a girl aged under 16 is classified as statutory rape under the Penal Code.

The girls, largely from urban areas, confessed that they had befriended men as they were angry with their parents for subjecting them to emotional and physical ‘abuse’. While some had sex with men just to get back at their parents, others were coerced into it by the very men they had turned to for solace, said Asst Comm Suguram Bibi Munshi Deen, head of the Sexual Abuse and Children’s Division at Bukit Aman.

Noting that teen rape had risen since 2005, she said that the victims – mostly from cities and major towns in Selangor, Johor and Kedah – usually ended up pregnant.

‘We are not pointing a finger or exposing the private lives of families but the public must realise what is happening,’ said ACP Suguram Bibi. ‘Children, teenagers and youths are our future leaders and we as adults, parents or guardians must guide and instil in them right and proper values.’

Statistics from 2005 to 2008 showed 75% of the rape victims were below 18 years old and at least 60% of the girls were below 16. Boys below 18 made up between 8.4% and 13.6% of the ‘rapists’. The study also showed that teenagers got bored easily, craved attention or wanted the freedom to express themselves.

ACP Suguram Bibi said parents should educate sons to respect the opposite sex and not take advantage of them. ‘We also found that some boys were challenged by their peers and forced to commit sex acts to prove that he was one of the gang and to stop being ridiculed.’

She advised parents to understand the law better and welcomed inquiries from anyone on investigation procedures in sexual assault cases.

PUBLICITY STUNTS BY MUHAMMAD FAKHRY!

insidepix1

KOTA BARU: Guests at the wedding of the son of Pas vice-president Husam Musa were surprised when Muhammad Fakhry and Manohara, made an appearance. Fakhry, 31, and former model Manohara Odelia Pinot, 17, attended the ceremony which was held at Husam’s house in Kampung Kota.

The Mighty Pen says: Despite this publicity stunt at the wedding and at the football match, he has not allowed Manohara to see her mother. If Fakhry wants to clear his name, he should allow Manohara to make a public statement from her hometown in Indonesia. There is no need for all these publicity stunts, as Manohara had cried during the telephone conversation with her mother, that she was ill-treated and abused by Fakhry and his family. The lifting of the entry ban on Manohara’s mother clearly shows that there is a bigger motive on the part of Kelantan palace. Only the mother knows best about her child! It is high time Fakhry realizes this, instead of saying “Manohara is ours!”

tengku_manoharaPROBABLY HE IS BEGGING HER FOR SOMETHING! PERHAPS ASKING HER TO SMILE MORE FOR THE CAMERA!

3473458593_f25809931e A PICTURE SPEAKS A THOUSAND WORDS. IS FAKHRY TRYING TO SHOW THE WORLD, THE BEAUTY OF HIS WIFE OR IS HE TRYING TO SHOW THE WORLD THAT HIS WIFE IS SAFE! HE SHOULD NOT HAVE ANY FEAR IN ALLOWING MANOHARA TO ISSUE A STATEMENT FROM HER HOMETOWN, INDONESIA! THIS WILL SETTLE THE WHOLE ISSUE ONCE AND FOR ALL!

World on alert with swine flu outbreak

MEXICO CITY:

Mexicans huddled inside their homes while US hospitals tracked patients with flu symptoms and other countries imposed health checks at airports as the World Health Organisation warned the virus had the potential to become a pandemic.

Announced on Friday, the outbreak has snowballed into a monster headache for the country, already grappling with a violent drug war and economic slowdown, and has quickly become one of the biggest global health scares in years.

In New Zealand, 10 pupils from an Auckland school that had just returned from Mexico were being treated for influenza symptoms in what health authorities said was a likely case of swine flu.

“We are monitoring minute by minute the evolution of this problem across the whole country,” President Felipe Calderon said as health officials counted suspected infections in six states from the tropical south to the northern border.
The flu is spreading in the United States. Eleven cases were confirmed in California, Kansas and Texas, and eight schoolchildren in New York City caught a type A influenza virus that health officials say is likely to be the swine flu.

The new flu strain, a mixture of various swine, bird and human viruses, poses the biggest risk of a large-scale pandemic since avian flu surfaced in 1997, killing several hundred people.

A 1968 “Hong Kong” flu pandemic killed about one million people globally.

New flu strains can spread quickly because no one has natural immunity and a vaccine takes months to develop.

Health Minister Jose Angel Cordova said the swine flu had killed at least 20 and possibly as many as 81 people in Mexico, and more than 1,300 people were being tested for suspected infection.

Most of the dead were aged 25 to 45, a worrying sign because a hallmark of past pandemics has been high fatalities among healthy young adults.

In the crowded capital of 20 million people, museums were closed and public events scrapped, from concerts to a running race.

People hoarded bottled water and canned food, churchgoers were told to stay home and follow Sunday services on television and bewildered tourists were made to wear surgical face masks.

Trendy districts were quiet on Saturday night as authorities closed 70 per cent of nightclubs, along with stadiums and movie theatres. At least one open bar stationed medics at its doors to check clients’ throats and take their temperatures.

All schools in the city, Mexico State and San Luis Potosi are to be closed until May 6 and some companies planned to have employees work from home. — Reuters Governments around the world rushed yesterday to check the spread of a new type of swine flu that has killed up to 81 people in Mexico and infected around a dozen in the United States.

Yap Continue Success in Livestock Farming

 EVERGREEN LIVESTOCK FARM

dsc002241Pemuda UPKO headed by Mr. Arthur Sen visit Evergreen Sdn Bhd Keningau. The   276 acres land here is probably one of the country’s largest private livestock and dairy farm.

Yap’s farm, which currently has about 4 thousand heads of dairy cattle, produces about 14 million litres of dairy milk , which is about 40 to 60%  percent of Sabah’s total dairy milk production a year.

dsc00233For information, 1 cattle can produce average 10 liters per day. Anyway cow needs to consume food as much as 10% of its body mass. Example if weight of a cattle is 500kg. It needs to eat 50 kg of grass daily. To rear 1 cattle. We need at least 1 acre of land. Mr. Yap runs his own effluent and water system efficiently to protect the environment.

Yap, 48, talked passionately about his involvement in livestock breeding, which is a genuine fascination he developed as a young boy.

“My parents were very poor, and my education only up to Form 3” Speaking in fluent Bahasa Melaysia. Yap said he first started his dairy farm on a two-acre land at Ansip Baru, Keningau in 1982 with support from the Department of Veterinary  which supplied him with only two cows.

“I cleared the land, built huts and planted grass for animal feed. After 10 years, my dairy farm was already producing 400 litres of dairy milk a day,” he said.

dsc00235Yap said an unfortunate incident in 1987 nearly ruined his business when about 100 heads of cattle at his farm died mysteriously. A check later found that the animals were poisoned.

“I started all over again with what was left. I was not dispirited (by the incident) but deep in my heart, I believed that God knows the truth,” he said.

dsc00238But Yap believes that his experience in livestock and dairy farming should be shared with others.

INVITATIONS ” I receive many invitations to give talks about my hands-on experience on livestock and dairy farming. Sometimes people also phoned to ask some advice on how to start this business,” said Yap. Yap said even 1 local university offered him to be a honorary lecturer with salary RM5000 per month. He laugh as saying he is not a lecturer. “I think that while there is a need to encourage big players to participate in the livestock and dairy farming industry, I hope the government also considers giving more incentives like allowing a more competitive price for locally-produced dairy milk”.

dsc002401FRUSTRATIONS Anyway, Yap is a bit frustrated that Sabah Government recent circulation and policies which he feels that Sabah lifestock rearer and planters are at loosing side.

“It is difficult for me to understand why palm oil planters were tax five times in Malaysia! I think I never heard a country with such policy thru all over the world. Imagine that,  Palm oil planters dont have subsidies like LIGS (Rubber Board).”

Citing that he have difficulties in selling his cow meat due to flip-flop policy of the government.  “The government should protect the local farmers intrest fist, before start importing all this so called Indian cheep meat. How can I sell my cow meat if the ceiling price are so low?” “I am at the loosing side although my cow meat are fresh.”

pemuda-upkoHe said that he pity small players which having problems in ensuring less bacteria in their milk which very often being rejected by the buyer. “Luckily I have a chiller box. After getting the milk, we need to lower the milk temperature from 30 degree to 3 degree in 1 minutes”

Mr. Yap have been elected as Keningau Lifestock Association and recently Advisor of Tenom Association. “I have held this post for many years and want to relinquish it. But the association member decline. Anyway, I am very happy to give advice to any younger generation abot lifestock and Palm oil mill cultivation”

Malaysia Catholics oppose non-‘Allah’ Bible

bibleKUALA LUMPUR (AFP) — A Malay-language Bible that does not use the word “Allah” has caused controversy among Malaysian Catholics, as the church here fights a court case to guarantee its right to use the word. The Catholic Herald newspaper, in its Sunday edition, criticised the release this week at an international bookfair of the new Bible, which uses the Hebrew word “Elohim” instead of “Allah” for God. “The Catholic bible that the church uses has the word ‘Allah’ for God whereas in comparison, this one does not,” the paper’s editor Father Lawrence Andrew told AFP. “The new Malay bible weakens the argument for using the word Allah because some groups are trying to substitute God with a foreign name, whereas Allah is the Malay word for God and has been the accepted translation for centuries,” he said. “The publishers have copied substantially from the Indonesian bible which was approved by the Indonesian Bible Society and the Catholic Church but this new version has not been approved by the society or the church in Indonesia or here.” The publishers of the bible could not be reached for comment. The Catholic Church has taken legal action against the government after it was ordered not to use the disputed word under threat of having its paper’s publishing permit revoked. Malaysian authorities argue the word should be used only by Muslims, who form the bulk of the country’s multicultural population. ctl1Andrew said Malaysian Christians have been using the word “Allah” for centuries in translations of the Bible, and in popular prayers. The opposition has also called for the ban to be revoked. “The term ‘Allah’ has been used in Indonesia and the Middle East by Christians without prosecution or controversy, despite both being overwhelmingly Muslim-majority regions,” opposition lawmaker Tony Pua said. “It has been proven beyond doubt that it is not a term specifically monopolised only by Muslims,” he said in a statement Saturday. A court is expected to decide on May 28 whether the Church has the right to use the word. Around 60 percent of Malaysia’s 27 million people are Muslim Malays. The rest includes indigenous tribes, as well as ethnic Chinese and Indians, variously practising Buddhism, Christianity and Hinduism, among others.

PRK : BN kerah Peserta PLKN berkempen

–SuaraKeadilan
